Augustana is a Faculty of the University of Alberta. Located in the picturesque city of Camrose (one hour from Edmonton), Augustana provides the opportunity to pursue an internationally-recognized degree in a welcoming setting of about 1,000 students. Augustana's student/professor ratio is less than twenty to one and class sizes are small.

Undergraduate degrees offered are: Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Music, and Bachelor of Management in Business Economics with over 30 different program areas. Students may study part- or full-time, and can choose from a variety of for-credit travel opportunities.

Augustana provides a culture of research, creativity, and public engagement in which students participate. It values interdisciplinary inquiry, teaching, and learning, and offers a memorable, transformative education through small classes, personal attention from professors, an innovative curriculum, experiential learning in wilderness and international settings, and a range of campus-life programs.

One of the few publicly-funded liberal arts and sciences institutions in Canada, Augustana's degrees (like all University of Alberta degrees) are accredited by Alberta Advanced Education and Career Development. Augustana is a member of the Association of Universities and Colleges in Canada (AUCC) and is the only Canadian member of the prestigious Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges.

Established in 1910, Augustana was the first private institution in Alberta to be given degree-granting status in 1985. In 2004, Augustana became a Faculty of the University of Alberta. Augustana's 40-acre campus has seventeen buildings, including the new Library, which opened in 2009. A new Student Forum building will be completed in 2010.

The campus is situated in a beautiful "aspen parkland" setting in the Battle River valley. It includes residence facilities for new and returning students, science labs, fine arts studios and performance spaces, student gathering areas, athletic and fitness facilities and a large dining hall.
