Programs Overview
Thompson Rivers University Online Learning (TRU-OL) offers over 53 degree, diploma or certificate programs, which are offered at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. TRU-OL also offers adult secondary school completion courses and programs.

Approximately 220 courses are designed and delivered by TRU-OL, while another 200 courses are available through consortium institutions including Simon Fraser University and the University of Victoria .

The government of British Columbia mandated TRU to provide open learning, which acknowledges work experience, past education and training through credit transfer, laddering and prior learning assessment and recognition. Students completing a TRU-OL program receive a TRU credential that is recognized by the Association of Universities.

  Flexible mode of delivery, offered through print, web and online formats, means students can study where they want at a pace that suits their lifestyle
  Students can transfer previously earned credits towards their program and get credits for knowledge gained through prior life and work experience by way of the PLAR process, while diploma graduates can ladder into many TRU degree programs, through on-campus and Open Learning
